MILLIS PUBLIC LIBRARY SUMMER --WILD READS @ YOUR LIBRARY!
The 2008 Summer Reading Program at the Millis Public Library The Summer Reading Program will run from June 20th to August 15th. This year, we are striving to “Read to Feed.” Our hope is to gain a better understanding of our place in the global community — which may help us to better understand the relationships between people, their actions, animals, and the environment. Instead of receiving a personal prize for reading achievement, for each three hours of reading that you record, you will be eligible to vote for the animal that you would like us to purchase through Heifer International. Choices include a flock of chicks, ducks and geese, honey bees, rabbits, pig, sheep, goat, llama, water buffalo, and a heifer. You may vote more than once — the more you read, the more votes you may cast . You are eligible to receive a ballot each time you read and record 3 hours of reading. Thanks to the generous support of the Middlesex Savings Bank, this goal is fully funded for up to $1000! Let’s work together to meet the Middlesex Savings Bank challenge goal and “Read to Feed” together for Heifer International!
