Welcome to the Silver Lake Middle School Summer Reading 2008 Website. Here you can link to Novelist which has wonderful reviews not only for our summer reading list, but for many other books you might enjoy reading.
To register, please set up your account with your username as firstnamelastname, for example: JohnSmith. For your password use your student ID number. After you have set up your account, you may register for one of our summer reading titles by choosing from the list. You will also be asked whether you plan to read the bonus book, The Last Book in the Universe by Rodman Philbrick. You may change your choice by selecting your new choice by July 31st.
Please remember to write notes on your summer reading bookmark. This will help guide your discussion in the fall. Bring your summer reading bookmark to school on your first day next year.

Title: Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo Author: Obert Skye Rating: 5 Review: Will, with his best friend Horace, have to choose a school or mentor to go with and help the kingdom. They both want to go to battle school, but only Horace makes it. Will has to go with Halt, his new teacher and become a Ranger. He has heard rumors of Rangers being sorcerers but never knows if they are true. But what will he do when the evil Morgarath comes and he and Halt must stop the two giant deadly creatures.
